Viking Spark Module: When One Burner Makes All of Them Click

What the module does
The spark module is a small sealed box that turns mains power into rapid high-voltage pulses, carried by leads to the electrode at each burner. Turn a knob and the switch behind it tells the module to fire; on many Viking ranges every electrode sparks together, so one knob sets the whole cooktop clicking. Where the module sits varies by model.
How it fails here
A worn module tends to fade rather than die: one burner takes a few more clicks each week. The bigger Issaquah story is misdiagnosis. Is it normal for all my Viking burners to click when I light one?

How is a bad spark module told apart from a bad switch?

Can a Viking range have more than one spark module?
